Framing is one of the most exciting phases of the construction process.

During the framing phase your construction project will take shape right before your eyes.. Most people get very excited when the framing is done, thinking that the house is almost built. In reality, the project is only about one-third complete.

Quality framing is dependent on incredible accuracy. If the framing is poor quality, the drywall won't be flat, the floors will squeak, and doors will not close correctly. Our framers use the latest techniques and technology, and work exactly from the plans and use the building code to provide ultimate accuracy.

In traditional platform framing a platform or floor is built on the foundation. The structure is bolted to the foundation with anchor bolts and hold down straps. Walls are placed on top of the floor joists, followed by the roof trusses.

At Michael Castro Construction, we use the highest quality materials and hardware, including I beam joists and natural hardwoods. We strive to utilize environmentally friendly materials and provide straighter, stronger and lighter joists than many of our competitiors.
